Sheriff’s Sale of Tax Foreclosed PropertyAll Sheriff Sales are held in the first
floor lobby of the Preble County Courthouse, 101 East Main Street in Eaton,
at 9:00 AM on Friday’s. Sheriff Sales are advertised in the
Register Herald for three consecutive
weeks, unless otherwise directed. The Sheriff makes every effort to
make sure that sales information posted is accurate, however, we are unable
to control information that is submitted to us. The Sheriff assumes no liability
for inaccurate information. Terms
and Conditions of Sheriff's Sales for Tax Foreclosed Property The buyer must provide 10% payment
at the time of sale. The method of payment is cash, cashiers check, money
order, or personal checks from Preble County residents only. The balance must
be paid upon confirmation of sale and after the deed has been delivered. All checks must be made payable to
the A person who has had his property foreclosed may
redeem his property by paying the taxes owed, thereby effectively cancelling
the sale, up until the time that the confirmation of sale is filed.
Once the confirmation of sale has been filed, the person may not redeem the
property by paying the taxes owed. Bids will start with the total amount owed for taxes,
