Only cash in your possession when you were booked in or money orders is placed into your commissary account for use in purchasing food and hygiene commissary items. Personal checks, payroll checks, etc. are put with your property and cannot be used for commissary or posting of bond.
As of August 1, 2014 we will no longer accept money orders at the jail for credit to an inmates account. Cash may be deposited into a kiosk in the lobby of the jail, which will be immediately credited to the inmates trust account. There is no fee or charge to deposit cash at the kiosk.
If money orders are received in the mail, they will be immediately credited to the inmates account.
You may release money to the court for bond. The Jail Administrator must approve any other release of funds. This request must be submitted on a Jail Request Form. You can release money only between the hours of 8 am to 11 am and 1 pm to 4 pm. Monday through Friday (except legal holidays).
You cannot transfer money to another prisoner.
Upon release, if your account has a negative balance, the reimbursement coordinator will make arrangements for you to pay off your negative balance.
Failure to pay the negative balance could result in court action.
