Preble County Recycles 

is provided by the Preble County Solid Waste Management District, Division of Recycling and Litter Prevention in Preble County, Ohio.

Our Mission

Preble County Recycles is dedicated to promoting recycling, waste reduction and responsible waste management within Preble County, OH. We want to assure safe and sanitary disposal of solid waste for Preble County residents and reduce reusable or renewable waste from entering our landfill.  Preble County Recycling is located the Preble County Landfill.

*Winter Hours – Closed on Saturdays starting the first Saturday in December and reopening the first Saturday in March



Curbside Recycling is available in the City of Eaton and the Village of Lewisburg. If you need to have a recycling bin delivered to your home contact one of the offices below:

If you are a resident that does not live in the above mentioned areas, and therefore do not have access to curbside recycling, you can take your recyclables to one of the following drop-off locations which are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

• Village of College Corner – 209 High Street
• National Trail School – 6940 Oxford Gettysburg Road
• Village of Lewisburg – 134 Western Avenue
• Camden’s Tyler’s-ville Park – 100 E. McKinley Dr. (North side of park inside the blue fence in front of the soccer fields)  *This is a new location as of April 12.
• Morning Sun – 11377 St. Route 177, Robert’s Farm Equipment
• Lakengren Maintenance Area – 318 W. Lakengren Drive
• Village of West Alexandria – 100 Education Drive

You may also drop off recyclables at the Preble County Landfill during regular landfill hours.

Items DO NOT have to be separated, everything goes into the same collection bin.

The following items are recyclable:

Rumpke now accepts paper, plastic, and aluminum cups for recycling.  But be careful!  Styrofoam cups and Solo cups CANNOT be recycled.  Plastic cups can be recycled with lids attached but lids on paper cups should not be recycled.  Cups for recycling should be as clean and dry as possible.  Click on the link below to learn about how to correctly recycle cups through Rumpke’s recycling programs:

Plastic – Labels do not need to be removed, please rinse if possible

• Appliance Boxes
• Empty Paper Towel Rolls
• Corrugated Boxes – any size
NO pizza boxes, NO boxes with food or grease

Cans – Labels do not need to be removed, please rinse if possible
• Steel and Aluminum Cans
• Steel and Tin Food Cans
• Aluminum and Bi-Metal Beverage Cans
NO metal coat hangers, NO paint cans

Glass – Labels do not need to be removed, please rinse if possible
• Clear, Green, and Brown Bottles and Jars
NO lids, NO windows, NO light bulbs, NO broken glass

• Food and beverage cartons such as milk, juice, soup, broth, & wine
